Join us on Sunday, September 21st as artists and audiences come together to celebrate International Day of Peace and the opening of the U.N. General Assembly as part of the outdoor festival "Shinnyo Lantern Floating for Peace." Events and performances take place on the Lincoln Center Plaza from 1 - 5PM and a Decoda wind and piano quintet performs music of Beethoven at 2PM by the reflecting pool in Hearst Plaza.
The Shinnyo Lantern Floating for Peace is meant to inspire a spirit of harmony and compassion that transcends all boundaries of age, gender, nationality, ethnicity, and religious tradition - and empower people to create a stronger force for peace in our families, our communities, and globally. We hope you will join us!
